Custom template creation for WordPress using multiple content areas, in addition to jQuery image rotator on each post coded manually within the template.
Together Neil and I decided that we wanted to create a blog to show the best graphic design pieces from around the world. In January 2009, we came up with the concept for Bitique and went around developing the site.
Due to the updates being daily, the site needed to be quick to update with a unique selling point for our readers which was a jQuery preview. To achieve this I developed the front end from the visuals provided by Neil, creating a neat front end. Next within the WordPress architecture I utilised multiple content areas to allow quick uploading of images into the right state without any knowledge of html.
The site is gaining in popularity with over a thousand unique daily visitors from all around the world.
