Brand new web presence and design ethic for high end furniture retailer.
When I was tasked with the job of creating a new site for Hewitts of Southport, I evaluated the old Flash site and decided that I could achieve the same quality feel using jQuery and POSH html. Search engine rankings were also something that needed to be improved.
My idea for the new site was to have very high resolution images (by web standards) which would stretch to the screen size, this would give the sense of an online show room. The quality of the images had to be first rate due to the type of produce being sold and I think the site feels like you’re stepping into beautiful roomsets.
